Victorious Festival 2018 Announces Third Wave of Music

With The Prodigy, Paul Weller, The Libertines and The Kaiser Chiefs already headlining its best line-up to date, Victorious Festival (24-26 August ‘18), the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival, has revealed a new wave of incredible artists including Brian Wilson, Sleaford Mods and The Cribs.

Needing no introduction whatsoever is the legendary Brian Wilson. Famed for illuminating the 60’s with an infectious blend of pop, psychedelia, complex melodies and tight harmonies, Brian directed the Beach Boys away from generic surf stalemate to the soaring pop/rock masterpiece that is Pet Sounds – a pivotal moment in pop history. Brian changed the rules of popular music forever and influenced a generation of musicians in the process. His performance of greatest hits at this year’s Victorious will be unmissable.

Post-electro-punk agitators Sleaford Mods will be on hand this summer to administer a large dose of social commentary. Following the success of last year’s English Tapas, their blend of broken dance beats, driving bass and unique vocal delivery has seeped into the mainstream and garnered admiration from across the musical spectrum. Sometimes described as a life-changing, their live show is certainly one to experience!

Celebrating 16 years at the most credible edge of lo-fi indie-rock The Cribs are a welcome addition to the bill. With a legacy that includes six studio albums and an extended collaborative period with guitar hero Johnny Marr, The Cribs have always more than represented when it comes to playing live and their set at this year’s festival is sure to be a highlight.

Also joining the spectacular line-up are dub-hop pioneers Dub Pistols, feted indie four-piece Stereo Honey, the calypso-tinged Cassia, indie-rockers Bang Bang RomeoElectric PyramidCatherine McGrathFenne Lilly and Nathan Ball.

Held in the picturesque seaside location of Southsea overlooking the Solent, Victorious Festival is the ultimate family friendly experience.

Revellers can expect an eclectic mix of live music and DJ performances, from some of the biggest names in the music industry, as well as a medley of locally sourced food markets and ale stalls, an arts and craft marketplace, a jam-packed kids arena hosting themed games, live performances and much, much more.
