Leading these new names is some of British music’s most beloved voices – across different genres and styles that all meet at Standon Calling 2021. Widely praised as a vital new voice in British music, Mahalia heads to Standon Calling this year, bringing a stunning set of jaw-dropping brilliance that’ll surely stand as a highlight of the weekend for many. A wordsmith that has carved his own undeniable path, Jake Bugg will touchdown in Hertfordshire fresh from the success of latest single ‘All I Need’ with a discography of anthems (looking at you ‘Lightning Bolt’ and ‘Two Fingers’) perfect for festival season. Constantly showcasing some of the most critically revered artists of their generations, Standon Calling will once again serve up the goods with Mercury Prize nominees Georgia and Moses Boyd joining the party this summer. With the glorious dancefloor electronics of recent album ‘Seeking Thrills’ ready to get everyone moving, Georgia is a must-see come July, whilst the gloriously eclectic experimental jazz stylings of Moses Boyd are a sight that simply must be experienced live and in the flesh.

Another band born for these sort of collective festival heights is Pale Waves, returning to Standon Calling off the back of their rapturously received second LP ‘Who Am I?’ – full of alternative-pop hooks that has them destined to become one of the biggest new bands of right now. Hip-hop icon Grandmaster Flash heads to Standon Calling this summer, pulling across his illustrious career for a mixing trip through hip-hop history. Artful Dodger will be spinning garage classics late into the night in the festival’s famed Cowshed hideaway whilst festival titan DJ Yoda drops in with another glorious jukebox of feel-good vibes that’ll make him once again a standout of festival weekends. Standon’s Groove Garden returns in emphatic fashion with Crazy P Soundsystem, PBR Streetgang, The Nextmen and Kid Fiesta just a taste of a thrilling lineup promising collective party joy at Standon Calling 2021.
