More Names And Day Splits Announced For FIB Benicàssim 2018

With just over two months to go the bill keeps growing for FIB Benicàssim 2018 and we’re excited to announce the day splits for the four-day festival as well as the addition of Chase & Status Live, Giggs, The Horrors, Oscar & The Wolf and more amazing acts to the already jampacked bill.

They join previously announced The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Travis ScottPet Shop BoysTwo Door Cinema Club, Justice, The Vaccines, Madness and more at FIB Benicàssim, which takes place on July 19-22nd in Benicàssim, Spain.

Leading the new additions to the FIB line up are drum & bass legends Chase and Status Live, providing the perfect close to Saturday night at Benicàssim. On the back of 2017’s phenomenal record ‘Tribe’, a new album ‘Return 2 Jungle’ on the horizon and 15 years at the forefront of the drum & bass scene, Benicàssim is guaranteed an explosive performance from the London duo.

One of the most uncompromising, influential and important rappers ever to emerge from the UK, Giggs joins the bill. His 2016 album ‘Landlord’ hit #2 in the UK charts and since then he’s gone on to release the ‘Wamp 2 Dem’ mixtape featuring tracks like ‘Peligro’ and ‘Linguo’ which have been streamed more than 20 million times on Spotify. He’s also appeared on a couple of tracks with his pal Drake who turned up to join him on stage at Reading Festival last year.

The Horrors have come a long way from their early garage punk days to evolve through the epic shoegaze and post-punk textures of ‘Primary Colours’ (2009) to the darker, rawer sound borrowed from 80’s post punk, synth pop and 90s dance on their latest album ‘V’. A very special welcome back to FIB for a very special band. Also joining the bill are King Khan & The Shrines and Oscar & The Wolf.

The South Beach Dance stage will see new acts coming from all corners of the globe including fast rising Finnish pop star ALMA, London’s electro duo Monarchy, Washington DC’s soul and funk influenced rapper ODDISEE & GOOD COMPNY and a DJ set from Dutch two-piece Detroit Swindle. Australian electronic dance hero Hayden James also joins, as well as Vienna’s experimental electronic pop duo LEYYA and Zazo & Gxurmet.

Playing the FIB Club stage, hosted by legendary Barcelona venue Razzmatazz and Madrid’s ever popular Ochoymedio Club, are new Scottish band The Snuts, noisy Madrid garage rockers The ParrotsLos Nastys, Valencia five piece La Plata and Spanish songstress Joana Serat.  Check out the website for a full list of the latest great additions.

The FIB crowd can expect countless festival anthems including ‘What You Know’, ‘Something Good Can Work’, ‘Sun’, ‘Bad Decisions’, and ‘Are We Ready (Wreck)’, resulting in yet another crowd-pleasing performance on their way to indie immortality.
