More artists confirmed for All Points East festival 2018

The line-up for All Points East keeps getting bigger with even more artists added to the show headlined by Catfish And The Bottlemen.

With a supporting cast featuring  Blossoms, The Hunna, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Neighbourhood and The Amazons already announced, the day is a celebration of the best of alternative guitar music.

Leading the charge of the latest wave of confirmed talent are Brighton indie poppers, The Magic Gang whose debut album is one of the brightest alternative albums of the year so far and returning garage rockers Spring King whose new track ‘Animal’ has whet the appetite for how big their second album is going to be. Mercury nominated female quartet The Big Moon’s emotive indie pop harks back to the classic era of the genre while party starters Superfood will bring cuts from last years critically acclaimed second album, ‘Bambino’. There’s in your face, neon-pink, girl power from Girli, six piece psych pop from Neon Waltz, curious and thoughtful singer-songwriter Rosborough, Irish starlets in waiting, whenyoung, the raucous, psych-tinged rock of Yowl, Hull’s finest Life and Slaves proteges Lady Bird whose debut single ‘Spoons’ has lit up the internet.

Glaswegian garage rock band Sweaty Palms, unabashed Pulpy West Londoners Sports Team, soaring Sheffield newcomers Redfaces, incredible live act Stereo Honey, the catchy songs, riffs and solos of Sea Girls and promising Welsh youngsters Fire Fences are also confirmed to play.

Since bursting into the public consciousness with their debut platinum album ‘The Balcony’, Catfish and the Bottlemen have grown to become the UK’s biggest guitar band to break through this decade. Their sophomore effort ‘The Ride’ topped the UK Album Chart and saw them step up to true arena status, conquering huge rooms and festival slots in the process. This is their biggest career show to date so expect an emotional evening.

Van McCann from Catfish and the Bottlemen says:
“This is gonna be a massive night! Doesn’t get much better than 40,000 people outdoors screaming every word you’ve written back at you! That’ll do us nicely!”

With the show set to be a who’s who of modern guitar music, the supporting line-up is suitably huge.

The show is part of All Points East, the new ten-day event which encompasses a diverse three-day music festival including headliners LCD Soundsystem, The xx and Bjork followed by a 4-day community-focused midweek programme of comedy, food, outdoor cinema and more to reflect the vibrancy of the park’s surrounding area. The event culminates in three huge APE Presents… shows with Catfish and the Bottlemen headlining the event on Friday 1st June 2018, the Saturday headlined by Ohio indie rockers The National and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds headlining the Sunday.

The full ten days of programming will be underpinned by a truly unique festival environment, an excellence in production, facilities, hospitality and customer service unlike anything seen before in Victoria Park. From the team behind events such as British Summer Time Hyde Park and the world’s number one venue The O2, the highest standards will be stamped across every aspect of the event.
