Lord Huron at Invisible Wind Factory in October

When The Guardian praise a group’s debut album as ‘the best album of choral Americana since Fleet Foxes’, you know you’re dealing with something special, as US indie folk outfit Lord Huron have gone on to prove.

Rising from cult status and poised for crossover success this year, the LA based group visit Liverpool in late October. Set to release their highly anticipated third album Vide Noir on April 20th, Lord Huron’s melodically rich, evocative story-led songs are hugely recommended to fans of Bon Iver, Nathaniel Rateliff and Sufjan Stevens.

Led by singer, songwriter and producer Ben Schneider, Lord Huron’s aforementioned 2012 debut Lonesome Dreams was hailed in Record Collector’s five-star review as ‘certainly the best album of its kind since Damien Jurado’s Maraqopa’.

April 2015’s Strange Tails proved their garlanded first album was no fluke and bowed at number 23 in the Billboard 200. Now signed to Universal Music and set to play their highest profile tour of North America so far in the Spring, Vide Noir will kickstart the group’s biggest year to date.

Equally acclaimed onstage, with appearances at Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Newport Folk Festival scoring rave reviews, Lord Huron’s gig at the Invisible Wind Factory in October will surely be one of 2018s outstanding live events.
