Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is set to launch the 2018 season with its ‘Children of the 80’s’ opening party on Friday 1st June.
Headlined by special guests The Original Gypsies of Camargue, former members of the Gipsy Kings, the opening party will kick off the 2018 ‘Children of the 80’s’ season, running every Friday until 28 September.
Comprising the Reyes brothers; Patchai, Paul, Canut and brother-in-law Chico, The Original Gypsies of Camargue offer a fusion of flamenco, rumba and pop with its band of fourteen, promising a real fiesta atmosphere for the opening party. Their most recognisable hits will be ringing around the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza open-air, poolside stage area, while the fiesta will also include a song from their latest album, due for release this summer on Universal Records.
The special guests will be supported by DJ trio Dream Team Reload and La Movida Ibiza, who will send the crowds on a nostalgic musical journey with audio-visual performances featuring hits from the 80s and 90s.
Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza reopened its doors on 27th April for an entertainment-fuelled summer that, in addition to the weekly ‘Children of the 80’s’ parties, will include pop-up music events, dazzling dancers, acoustic artists and DJ sets playing each day around the hotel.
From 7pm to midnight each Friday, for five fun-filled hours, attendees of ‘Children of the 80’s’ will enjoy a trip down memory lane with the best hits, costumes and dance moves from yesteryear. The line-up for subsequent ‘Children of the 80’s’ will be announced in due course.
Tickets for the opening party are 20 euros. All Ibiza residents, hotel guests and those attending the event in fabulous ’80s outfits will enjoy free access.
