Yousef’s Circus will bring its signature eclectic mix of House & Techno to Liverpool’s Arts Club with a monumental line up featuring Joris Voorn, Heidi, Theo Kottis, and Lauren Lo Sung.
Circus is able to boast a long-standing reputation for showcasing the best in house and techno. The Liverpool born club night consistently sells out events in London, Manchester and Barcelona, not to mention Liverpool where Circus never fails to get its loyal crowd moving.
Returning to the Arts Club for the 15th April, Circus will provide a seismic line-up for what will be an unforgettable night.
Taking the top spot in the Theatre is Dutch legend, Joris Voorn. Responsible for the labels Green and Rejected, Voorn has released genre defining club tracks since his internationally recognised breakout ‘Muted Trax’ EP and calls Amsterdam, the global capital of electronic music, his home. DJ’ing since 1997 Joris will bring his unrivalled experience and expertise to the Arts Club – hot off a tour schedule that has taken him from India to Australia and America in this year alone.
Heidi has become one of the most well-known faces of dance music of recent years with her international party brand and label, Jackathon, alongside her BBC Radio 1 residency showing why she has cemented her as one of the most influential selectors of House and Techno whilst continuing to support and provide a platform for rising stars to develop on. Heidi’s passion and drive is second to none and this will certainly show on the dance floor of the Arts Club as she brings her unique jack-infused style to town.
Headlining the Loft is Nigerian-born Lebanese star, Nicole Moudaber. A combination of commitment and hard work saw Nicole transform from the relatively unknown into one of the world’s most sought after DJ’s. With performances at huge Ibiza clubs such as Space and DC10, whilst also appearing at Glastonbury and Coachella, Label head and Radio host, Nicole Moudaber is sure to inject nothing but quality and passion into the Arts Clubs.
Next up is Edinburgh DJ and producer Theo Kottis. Last year saw Theo complete a hugely successful North American tour with the Anjunadeep family, while honing his distinct style of immersive and always emotional House and Techno. Theo’s appearance at the Arts Club for Circus will foreshadow another highly anticipated North American tour in May. With support from Pete Tong among many others, Theo is an artist still very much on the rise and is certain to deliver an unmissable set.
Fellow Liverpudlian Lauren Lo Sung is welcomed back to Arts Club again for the 15th April. Having launched Lo Life when she was just 18, the night has catapulted Lauren into a residency at Birmingham’s TRMNL and lead to her playing Carl Cox’s The Final Chapter at Space Ibiza. This certainly isn’t the first-time Lauren has graced the Circus stage and her selection of breaks and groove entwined dub techno is sure to be a success.
Home grown Liverpool DJ & producer James Organ is next to bring his fiery DJ sets to Circus. James has played at festivals like Garden Festival Croatia and Reading & Leeds Festivals, not to mention frequenting clubs all over the UK, and offers an acute understanding of the dancefloor, while releases on Saved, Roush, Decay and Yousef’s Carioca label have cemented the DJ at the forefront of forward thinking dance music.
Finishing off the line-up are the Circus residents. Lewis Boardman is a rising star of the UK underground house scene with an international profile that has seen him release on Loco Dice’s Desolat, Moon Harbour, Circus and Play It Down, and regularly play WHP Manchester, Fabric, as wells as dates across Ibiza, Berlin and beyond. Lewis sits comfortably on the line-up, and is will undoubtedly turn heads with his DJ abilities in his hometown. Long-time Circus affiliate David Glass has seen his tracks released on Circus, Roush and Hot Creations, and supported extensively by Carl Cox, Loco Dice and many others, leading to dates throughout Europe.
