The planet might be heading towards greater and greater turmoil; the future an apocalyptic landscape lorded over by one kind, rebelled against by another, but whatever the fiction or fact of our destiny, rock ‘n’ roll will always be the soundtrack to raise the spirit and spark a call to arms.
This is where bands like TYRANNOSAURUS NEBULOUS come in; hard balling rockers that rouse ears and emotions with multi-flavoured anthemic incitements. The Black Country based British quartet is equipped with a creative roar which has swept up the hearts and support of fans and the underground across the Midlands and South Wales.
Brought up on 70’s hard rock and the likes of Budgie, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC\DC, Status Quo, Led Zeppelin, Rush, and Thin Lizzy; the kind of flavours that the band proudly use as inspiration, Tyrannosaurus Nebulous crafts its own distinct sonic rebel rousing with a striking melodic imagination brewed from the temptation of recent decades.
Tyrannosaurus Nebulous takes no direct influence from passing trends though, yet in their distinct way pass a nod to anything which has honesty at its heart. The band’s 2014 debut EP, ‘Never Gonna’ Be’ with former vocalist Justin Catton, showed that the potency and magnetism of the band’s rock ‘n’ roll was in bud from day one. It’s punchy and tenacious presence emulating a strong reputation branding stage presence which has seen the band play with the likes of Captain Horizon, Twisted State of Mind, Buzzard, Vicious Nature, Sister Shotgun, Healer of Bastards, No More Numbers, The Delta Rhythm, Sour Mash, Swamp Donkey and numerous more since they began.
From its well-received platform, the band, with guitarist Matt Darby since leading the vocal frontline, has only pushed on to blossom a fresh evolution and new direction in their sound. As upcoming releases will testify, the foursome of Stourbridge hailing Matt and brother Paul on guitar, their Dudley hailing cousin James Miles on drums, and Lee Jenkins adding some South Wales (Caerphilly) bred fire on bass, have an inescapable ability to ignite body and spirit.
It is a quality which has only found a richer vein of creative fuel in recent times equally matched by a melodic tempting which has been honed into a real attention grabbing proposal.
Tyrannosaurus Nebulous is now getting ready to arouse the UK rock scene with their new double A-sided single “Straight Jacket/TLK”; two tracks swiftly showing the diversity and power of their imposingly infectious and fiery hard rock.
With the July released ‘Deal With My Evil’ EP following the June 3rd unveiling of their new single, Tyrannosaurus Nebulous is about to bring 2016 alive with a galvanic proposition purpose built for summer and dark days alike.
TLK: introduces the bands very own T. rex called Terence, sent to us from a far away galaxy to teach us the ways of pure rock ‘n’ roll, so that we can defeat inferior talent show chart drivel and put hard hitting rock back on top where it belongs !!!
