TRNSMT Festival today adds the phenomenal Jessie Ware to an already packed bill on Sunday 8th July, joining headliners The Killers, CHVRCHES, Franz Ferdinand, Friendly Fires, Lewis Capaldi and Hudson Taylor for an outstanding closing day of TRNSMT 2018.
Jessie Ware is proving herself unstoppable after the success of her 2017 third album ‘Glasshouse’ placed her as one of the best singer-songwriters in the country.
This addition to the bill builds on the brilliant mix of acts set to play this year’s TRNSMTFestival including headliners Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers and proves TRNSMT is the place to be for music fans this summer. The Script, Courteeners, Interpol, CHVRCHES, James Bay, Wolf Alice, Blossoms, Franz Ferdinand plus some of the best up and coming names in music such as Lewis Capaldi, Sigrid and IAMDDB will also take to the stage in Glasgow Green from 29thJune-1st July, 6th July and 8th July.
With track ‘Say You Love Me’ currently sitting with over 82 million streams on Spotify, the British solo artist is an incredibly exciting addition to TRNSMT 2018’s line-up. Jessie Ware’s third album Glasshouse was released in 2017, meaning she will be adding new songs to her soulful set on Sunday 8th July, such as acclaimed singles ‘Selfish Love’ and ‘Alone’. The singer-songwriter celebrated the release of her album with a four-night residency at London’s Islington Assembly Hall, enthralling audiences with her soulful back catalogue. Ware’s blend of pop, R&B and soul music has seen her stun audiences around the world with her melodic voice on hit tracks like ‘Tough Love’ and ‘Meet Me In The Middle’.
