To round off a fantastic year THE CHARLATANS announce a new UK tour in December. Starting at the legendary Rock City in Nottingham on December 8ththe tour takes them around the country and into Scotland before finishing at O2 Academy Brixton on December 19th. The band are also nominated for best album and Tim Burgess for ‘Indie Hero’ at The AIM Awards in October.
The band released their twelfth studio album Modern Nature in January to stunning reviews, some citing it as their best ever. Their singles, So Oh, Come Home Baby, Let The Good Times were rapturously received at radio and all A listed at 6 Music. Following their sold out UK tour in March, the band were booked to appear on Later in April.
Over the festival season The Charlatans have been working flat out, starting with a triumphant secret opening a slot at Glastonbury where they drew record crowds, to headline slots at Isle Of Wight, Truck, Tramlines. This weekend they play V festival.
This will be the The Charlatans last UK tour before the band head off to tour Europe, America and Australia. On their return they will be heading back into the studio to start work on their follow-up to Modern Nature.
