Needing no introduction: Goldie, Adam F, Congo Natty, Dillinga, DJ Hype and more will join forces. This is an unrivalled DJ line-up for this one-day indoor event celebrating drum n bass, jungle, and everything in between.
Taking place on Saturday 2 September 2023, tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 28 April via www.margatesummerseries.
Pioneer of jungle and drum n bass, Goldie has been a critical part of the scene since he broke out in the 90s. He’s since remained a champion of the genre, and a visionary pushing boundaries every step of the way. Celebrating the best of drum n bass, Goldie has surpassed the scope of the genre, intertwining it with hip-hop, jazz and soul to create a sound that is uniquely his own. He remains as prominent to this day and with his including Inner City Life and I Adore You sounding just as fresh in 2023, he’s a must-see this September in Margate.
Goldie will be joined by a wealth of drum n bass royalty including Adam F. He’s the musician and producer who’s been making major waves in the hip hop world since the 90s. His debut album ‘Colours’ received widespread critical acclaim, securing a prestigious MOBO Award. He’s collaborated with everyone from LL Cool J, Redman and DJ Fresh to name but a few and this summer, Adam F is joining forces with other legends in the game for a day packed with drum n bass goodness.
Congo Natty, widely known and loved as a revolutionary, joins the stellar line up. Heavily influential in his role of music movements including jungle, Congo Natty allows his spiritual influences to flow freely through his music, spreading positivity along the way and encouraging unity in music and far beyond. Get Ready, Jungalist, Nu Beginingz and more will ring out around Dreamland Margate as Congo Natty takes to the stage.
Plus, prolific producer Dillinja will keep those jungle sounds coming. First tipped in the 90s when he took the Brixton music scene by storm, he has since joined forces with other heavyweights including Goldie to create some of the hottest drum n bass tracks of a generation. Striving to drive the scene forward in exciting ways, Dillinja is nothing short of a legend of sound system culture, and a mega addition to September’s line-up.
They’ll all be joined by DJ Hype – a battle DJ who gained notoriety for his gamechanging deckwork in the late 80s. Reggae, hip hop, house and hardcore are at the root of his individual sound which has generated a loyal fanbase around the globe. An early adopter of pirate radio, DJ Hype has since gone on to top festival bills, take on the international DJ circuit with massive success and established himself as one of the biggest, most acclaimed names on the scene.
Drum N Bass Legends will take place from 4pm onwards, at an indoor venue at Dreamland Margate for what’s set to be a celebration of drum n bass, jungle, hip-hop and all things in between, bringing together a monumental line-up of legendary names that are truly unmissable.
