The final stop on the The National Lottery’s Eurovision music tour took us to the famous Jacaranda club on slater street. The venue was host to a very intimate gig from the former Last Shadow Puppets frontman, Miles Kane.

Miles had put in a performance earlier in the week at the Eurovision village to thousands of people but tonight this sold out performance was to maybe 50 or 60 people. All these people were crammed into the downstairs room awaiting, what would be, an up close and personal performance.

As the crowd waited, the DJ played Andy William’s ‘You’re just good to be true‘ and as the crowd sang “I love you baby” Miles appeared singing along to the song with the crowd.

Then is was straight into it. ‘Rearrange‘ kicking in and the crowd going wild. Singing, jumping, dancing along to Kane’s infectious melodies. Miles Kane put on a fantastic and was on fine form, delivering a set packed with his trademark indie rock anthems.

The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd was very responsive to Miles and his band. Miles himself, hugging and holding onto members of the audience in the front row as the show continued and the venue grew hotter.

Half way through the show a surprise guest in the form of Lia Metcalfe of The Mysterines, joined Miles on stage to duet with him on ‘Nothing’s ever gonna be good enough‘ and a cover of T-Rex’s hit ‘Bang a gong‘. Fantastic vocals from Lea on these 2 songs which definitely pleased her adoring fans in the audience.

Throughout the set, Kane showed off his impressive vocal range and guitar skills. He also had a great rapport with the crowd, frequently stopping to chat and joke with them. The highlight of the show was undoubtedly Kane’s performance of his classic hit, “Don’t Forget Who You Are“. The crowd sang along with every word, and Kane delivered a truly memorable performance.

Overall, Miles Kane’s performance at the Jacaranda was a fantastic night of music and an amazing event in the history of the Jacaranda club. Miles Kane is a true talent, and he put on a show that will be remembered by fans for years to come.
