MTV UK has today announced an additional pair of amazing acts that have been added to Day One of MTV Crashes Plymouth! Rising star of the moment Raleigh Ritchie and MTV favourite Anne-Marie have joined the bill of Plymouth’s hottest music event for summer, MTV Crashes Plymouth.
Both acts will join previously announced performers, Rudimental and Jes
Rudimental recently sold-out London’s O2 Arena, touring their second No. #1 album ‘We The Generation’. Multi-award winning Jess Glynne continues to dominate the live scene touring her No. #1 album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’, with stand out appearances this summer at Glastonbury and Radio 1’s Big Weekend. With the additional names announced today, MTV Crashes Plymouth truly is the most incredible value for money at just £12.50 for the day!
Raleigh Ritchie recently released his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘You’re A Man Now, Boy’, featuring collaboration with Stormzy on ‘Keep It Simple’. Though also known for his role of Grey Worm in Game of Thrones under his acting name of Jacob Anderson, he has been writing and perfecting his musical craft under his alter-ego name of Raleigh Ritchie ever since. His song ‘Stronger Than Ever’ has become a bonafide Anthem – he recently performed it live on The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 and was a key figure in the Champions League Final Coverage in Milan, where he and the song accompanied the lifting of the trophy. Ritchie has a busy summer of festival appearances ahead, having recently returned from a sell-out UK Tour and performance at Glastonbury.
Raleigh Ritchie said, ‘I’m really looking forward to crashing Plymouth with MTV! I’ve heard awesome things about MTV Crashes and what a great line-up to be a part of! I can’t wait to get down there and make lots of noise!’
Essex-born Anne-Marie won the MTV Brand New for 2016 title earlier this year, beating fellow newcomers, including Jack Garratt, Sigala and WSTRN. Now a firm MTV UK favourite, the singer is also the MTV Push act for July. Rising to fame as a live vocalist touring with Rudimental, Anne-Marie has since come to the forefront of the music scene with over eight million Spotify streams for releases of her own chart hits ‘Boy’ and ‘Karate’. She is now set to release a new track, ‘Alarm’, produced by Steve Mac, on July 15th. Anne-Marie has previously worked with top
producers Magnetic Man and Gorgon City as well as featuring on Rudimental’s chart-topping second album ‘We The Generation’.
Anne-Marie said, ‘I can’t wait to party at MTV Crashes Plymouth! Excited to see the Rudimental boys too, the show is gonna be sick!’
After Day One wraps, MTV will be straight back at it with a stellar line-up of the world’s best DJ’s for Day Two on the Plymouth Hoe. Club MTV will play host to Dance heavyweights Afrojack,
Example, Tough Love and Sub Focus to round-up the two day festival.
MTV Crashes Plymouth will be broadcast on MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels, showcasing Britain’s Ocean City in over 35 countries, with electric live performances.
