Opening the Spanish Festival Season and for its third year, Mallorca Live Festival strikes back to Magaluf with their best line-up to the date featuring a diverse mix of music legends and influential talents with names from across rock, electronic music, Spanish hip hop and the freshest Latin-American sounds.
The Scottish rock legends Primal Scream will bring their distinguished mix of rock, psychedelic and electronic to make the crowd dance as they span 3 decades of hits including their celebrated albums Screamadelica and Chaosmosis.
Joining the headline slot, the British pioneers The Prodigy will lead the crowd to a raving climax as they make their Big Beat magic. The multi-awarded band, proudly owning two Brit awards for Best British Dance Act, several MTV awards and having been nominated for the most significant music awards such as the Grammys, Mercury Prize or Ivor Novello, will head back to the Balearics to ensure one of the biggest moments of the summer.
The electronic music contribution will be headed by three of the most influential names of the genre: the Techno Goddess Nina Kraviz, the multi-awarded DJ and producer Solomun and the electrohouse heroeVitalic.
The impressive line-up is completed by international artists from the likes of !!! (Chk Chk Chk) and the garage rock troupe Black Lips; the best indie Spanish talent will be represented by Izal, El Columpio Asesino and Polock; urban and fusion music from the Spanish hip hop master Kase O, Muchachito, La Raíz and Bad Gyal; the best local talent with L.A., Sexy Sadie, Oso Leone and The Wheels; and the most promising Latin-American bands like Chancha Via Circuito and Los Espíritus, and many more delivering more than 24 hours of music from more than 40 artists in which will be an unforgettable weekend this summer.
But before all these, Mallorca Live Festival will take over the Village Underground stage (April 17th) in a Festival launch party headed by the Spanish master of rumbarock, Muchachito. Jairo Pereira’s alter ego will bring back to London their guitars and spectacular drums, after a massive sold out at Scala, London a few years ago. His recently launched forth album, El Jiro, is faithful to his particular style which mixes rumba with funk, swing and rock’n’roll. Supporting Muchachito will be the majorcan but settled on Machester band The Nawers.
