Brooding quintet Cavalry have announced the release of Heresy, the first track from their forthcoming debut EP See The Night Perform due out later this autumn.
Offering a hypnotic beat, blown apart by blistering guitars and drums, and a soaring vocal that urges the track on to a furious climax, Heresy finds the band thematically informed by the present – asking where hope can be found in an unnoticed dystopia where once modern fears are normalised.
Their melodic style has already earned the backing of Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) following the release of singlesEverything and Lucerne in 2016, whilst slots supporting acts including British Sea Power and Stephen Malkmus have honed their burgeoning live reputation. The five-piece will be hitting the road once again in November ahead of their EP release with dates to be announced shortly.
Produced by Darren Jones (The Maccabees, The Last Shadow Puppets, Bill Ryder-Jones), and mastered by Christian Wright (Abbey Road Studios), Cavalry’s Heresy is released 6th October and will be available on all platforms.
