Wirral’s Skeleton Coast festival returns for its biggest year yet this August.
Following on from The Coral’s phenomenal homecoming last year and 3 years of sell out festivals, featuring the likes of Tim Burgess, She Drew The Gun and Cabbage, Skeleton Coast now heads out into the open air, with the 2019 event set to take place inside the picturesque grounds of Wirral’s historic Leasowe Castle.
Organisers are delighted to announce this year’s festival will be headlined by the “Wirral Riddler” Miles Kane, in what promises to be an epic and unmissable homecoming for The Last Shadow Puppets frontman, off the back of his acclaimed third solo record Coup De Grace.
In addition to his headline set, Kane has curated some of this year’s lineup bringing with him a red-hot barrage of his favourite bands from Merseyside and beyond, with Dream Wife, The Mysterines, The Snuts, The Fernweh and The Peach Fuzz all joining him for this special event.
Plus, attendees can expect many more acts to be announced across two stages inside the castle itself – hosted by Merseyside tastemakers EVOL and Getintothis respectively – all showcasing the hottest and freshest new talent synonymous with Skeleton Coast. DJ sets from Liverpool’s own Shit Indie Disco and a new art exhibition are also confirmed for the 2019 festival.
Skeleton Coast takes place Saturday August 31st at Leasowe Castle, Wirral, with doors opening at 1pm.
Tickets for the festival are £30, with hotel and ticket packages available from Skiddle.
