Fast becoming one of the most revered new songwriters in the UK, John Joseph Brill celebrates the release of his latest single False Names with a show at the Scandinavian Church in April.
The London born, Liverpool based singer-songwriter experienced a whirlwind 2015 with gigs at the BBC Introducing stages at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, supporting Daughter on their European tour and appearing as main support to Richard Hawley at his sold out Liverpool Music Week concert in addition to the release of his accomplished EP Pieces.
An Arcade Fire-esque wall of sound led by Brill’s brooding, Nick Cave influenced baritone, False Names, due for release on March 18th is Brill’s first issue for Killing Moon records.
Superbly well suited for Brill’s dramatic confessional songwriting, his show at the Scandinavian Church will doubtless see the singer’s ascent continue in formidable style.
