Jesse Jo Stark will be playing on the Sunday (time TBC) while she’s over from the States – If you’re not familiar, the rock sorceress’ eerie blues sound has captivated a growing fan base: her last six singles have generated over 1 million Spotify plays and earned praise from fans and critics alike, recently featuring in British Vogue who labelled her the “Rock’n’Roll star for a new generation”. Jesse Jo secured her place as an emerging voice in rock with her scorching live shows, opening for Guns N’ Roses, Janes Addiction and Sunflower Bean. She’s headlined her own month-long residency at The Echo in Los Angeles and most recently supported The Vaccines on their UK tour in February.
As well as Jesse Jo Stark, Leeds band allusinlove (formerly allusondrugs) are playing at Brick Street Garden on Saturday, having just played a full UK tour this spring. They’ll be playing Download, 2000 Trees and more festivals this summer as well as support tours for Skunk Anansie, Grandson and a lead support date for Muse in Poland(!).
They’re a live band first and foremost, and released a full live album a few weeks ago recorded over a 4 night Leeds Brudenell Social Club residency last year. Their comeback single ‘All Good People’ has just gone over a million Spotify streams too, and their debut studio album ‘It’s OK To Talk’ is coming June 7th (PR attached).
