Bearded Theory Festival has announced three more stunning acts onto their already stellar line up for 2017.
Platinum selling Scottish indie outfit GLASVEGAS join the Pallet Stage on Sunday, bringing their animated and renowned live show to the fields of Catton Hall. Their chart successes stem back to 2008 with their debut album going into the UK charts at number 2.
The beautiful solid oak Woodland stage have bagged a coup in securing iconic post-punk band THE FALL to perform on Saturday night. Led by notorious king-pin front man Mark E. Smith, The Falls back catalogue is legendary, with nine Top 40 albums and a chart topping single in Totales`s Turns.
BBC Folk Award winners KATHRYN ROBERTS & SEAN LAKEMAN have also been added to the Woodland line up, replace the previously announced Nova Twins who had to cancel due to touring commitments elsewhere.
As previously announced, Seminal British rock act Skunk Anansie, and punk duo Slaves will headline on Friday, Veteran bluesman and festival favourite Seasick Steve will headline Saturday night, and Sunday night will reverberate with the sounds of classic hits including Our House, ‘Baggy Trousers and One Step Beyond, as North Londons finest nutty boys Madness will close the festival in style.
Also performing on the Pallet (main) Stage are alt rock/punk band The Alarm, Bearded Theory legends New Model Army, Ska survivors The Selecter, seminal hip-hop act Sugar Hill Gang & Furious Five, Californian Rockers Vintage Trouble, Punk stalwarts Goldblade, Alabama 3, Ferocious Dog, Flight Brigade, Anti-Pasti, The Mocking Jays, Jaya the Cat, and many more.

Fronted by the legendary Skin, Skunk Anansie will be the first female fronted band to headline Bearded Theory. Talking ahead of their appearance the band said Stoked to be headlining Friday at Bearded Theory. This festival is crazy good and we are looking forward to smashing it.
Radio 1 favourites Slaves have just secured their second top 10 album with Take Control going to number 6 in October. Their debut album Are You Satisfied charted at Number 8 last year, and we are delighted to have finally bagged them after a few years of trying.
Since rising to prominence as a solo artist a decade ago, Seasick Steve has frequently appeared in the album charts, with last Octobers Keepin’ the Horse Between Me and the Ground charting at #8. Steves albums have featured many guest appearances including Jack White (White Stripes) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). Following on from his amazing Wembley Arena performance, we are delighted to have Steve bringing the blues to Catton Park.
Madness are one of the UK’s best loved bands, achieving more than twenty chart hit singles, many of them instantly recognisable classics. Since performing at both the Queens Diamond Jubilee concert and London Olympic Games closing ceremony in 2012, Madness have ascended into true national treasure status and Bearded Theory are delighted to be welcoming them to Catton Hall in Derbyshire, hot off the back of a major arena tour this winter.
Friday night on the beautiful Woodland Stage will be headlined by multi-million selling Britpop survivors,Cast. Northern Irish singer songwriter Foy Vance tops the bill on Saturday, preceded by Mark E Smith fronted The Fall. Sunday will be closed by Sheffields finest, Reverend & The Makers. Jon from Reverend & the Makers says, “If festivals were judged on vibe alone then Bearded Theory is the best in the world. We cant wait to close the 10th anniversary”
Joining these amazing headliners on the Woodland are heavy rockers Tess Of The Circle, dub punk bandSmiley & The Underclass, folk act Roving Crows, Bhangra rockers Kissmet, Ska punkers Defekters, modern folk band MAIA, cow punk legends Pronghorn (celebrating their 25th year anniversary).
