Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls are hitting the road this April for a UK headline tour, following the success of their 2023 album Undefeated. The tour will see Turner return to some of the country’s most iconic venues, with support from dark folk songwriter Amigo The Devil.
A High-Energy Return to the UK
After starting the year with performances in Mexico and an intimate BRITs Week show for War Child, Turner is back in the UK for the Undefeated tour. Kicking off at Newcastle’s NX on April 1, the tour will make stops in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, and more before wrapping up in Folkestone on April 19.
With six shows already sold out, tickets are in high demand. Fans can expect a mix of Turner’s raw punk energy and introspective songwriting, brought to life alongside his live band: Ben Lloyd (guitar), Tarrant Anderson (bass), Callum Green (drums), and Matt Nasir (piano).
The Sound and Story of Undefeated
Turner’s tenth studio album, Undefeated, released in May 2023, blends defiance and vulnerability. Described by Kerrang! as “a jovial blast of defiance” and Silent Radio as “a declaration of resilience,” the album reflects on themes of aging, nostalgia, and personal growth.
Recorded in his home studio on Mersea Island, Undefeated was entirely self-produced, marking a new chapter in Turner’s career. Musically, it channels influences from Black Flag to Counting Crows, with echoes of The Pogues, Elvis Costello, and Billy Bragg.
Amigo The Devil Joins the Tour
Turner will be joined on tour by Amigo The Devil, who previously supported his ambitious 50 States in 50 Days tour across the U.S. in 2022. “Danny and his gang are the best,” Turner shared. “We’ve shared the road before, and we’re stoked to do it again.”
