Foals have received a BBC Music Award Nomination for ‘British Artist of the Year’. The band joins Ed Sheeran, Years & Years, Jamie XX, Florence and the Machine, and Adele on the shortlist for the prestigious prize. The band was also nominated for four awards at the 2016 NME Awards, including ‘Best British Band’, “Best Live Band’, ‘Best Album’, and ‘Best Track’. The BBC Music Awards will take place on December 10th at Birmingham, England’s Genting Arena. The NME Awards winners will be unveiled on February 17th at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. These nominations follow the band’s second Q Award win for ‘Best Act In The World’ earlier this fall.
Today the band also released a Clint Mansell remix of their song “Give It All” which is available to stream via FADER.
Foals’ current album What Went Down emerged to the best reviews of the band’s career as it debuted at #3 and commanded a Top 20 chart position for four weeks in the UK. Foals is currently on tour in the United States in support of What Went Down, ahead of the 2016 legs in Australia and arena dates in the United Kingdom. The band will appear on KCRW’s famed program Morning Becomes Eclectic for a live session in interview on December 18th. See below for a list of upcoming U.S. dates.
