Following the massive success of this year’s sold-out Festival No.6, organisers have announced that a limited amount of first tier tickets are now on sale.
This year’s event – which welcomed 15,000 revelers – saw incredible performances across the board including indie-pop sensations Belle and Sebastian, electronic pioneers Metronomy, Manchester legends James and an incredible finale from the truly sensational Grace Jones who brought the festival to a spectacular close leaving an indelible imprint of No.6 magic on the captivated audience.
Said festival founder, Gareth Cooper: “We couldn’t be happier with the response and the love that this year’s festival has received and we are delighted to announce tickets for 2016 are now on sale.
“We introduced some great new additions this year from increasing the capacity to 15,000 to creating a brand new area with the Village Green. We really raised the bar and topping it will be tough but we’ve got some exciting plans for 2016 that will really add to the already incredibly rich content across the music, arts and culture spectrum.
“Given our programme this year it wasn’t such a surprise we reached capacity and with another incredible line-up still to be announced for 2016 we’re confident that it will sell-out again, so I’d make sure you book your tickets early to avoid missing out!”
Festival No.6 is an intimate, bespoke banquet of music, arts and culture taking place over the weekend of the 1-4 September, 2016 in the magical village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of the cult TV series The Prisoner.
Acts perform across the entire site, by the whimsical Italianate architecture of the village, the historic town hall, piazza, Bristol Colonnade, the picturesque Estuary stage, the atmospheric woods and the promenade along the River Dwyryd.
Constructed between 1925 and 1975 by maverick architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is a wonderfully bizarre and elaborate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa, nestled in the stunning mountains and forests of North Wales overlooking the expansive estuarial waters of the Irish Sea.
