Bar playing a handful of headline summer festivals, Norfolk sextet Deaf Havana have been notably absent over the last year or so. With a penchant of writing earworm inducing anthems, the band have spent the majority of their time away holed up, writing the follow up to 2013’s ‘Old Souls’.
“We’ve found a new direction in our sound but one that was completely unforced, that’s just how the songs come out of James’ (Veck-Gilodi) brain,” say the band. “It’s the darkest, most honest, most dynamic music we’ve ever written. We’ve never felt this together as a band and we’re all raring to get it started.”
Speaking of getting started – Deaf Havana are pleased to announce a run of intimate shows for their comeback in November, culminating in a show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
