New World Festival returns to Chelmsford this summer to celebrate its 5th anniversary, bringing Craig David and his acclaimed TS5 show to Central Park on Sunday 30 August 2026.
Since launching in 2021, New World has established itself as a key fixture in the region’s summer calendar, hosting leading UK electronic and crossover artists including Sammy Virji, Joel Corry, Nathan Dawe, James Hype, Andy C, Sam Divine and DJ EZ.
Set within 35 acres of parkland in the heart of Chelmsford, Central Park provides a distinctive setting for the new summer series, combining open space with the city’s riverside and historic railway viaduct.
A defining figure in British music for over 25 years, Craig David remains one of the UK’s most successful and recognisable artists. From his genre-shaping debut Born To Do It in 2000 through to his arena tours and international DJ sets, he has consistently bridged R&B, garage and pop with an unmistakably British sound.
TS5 – named after the Southampton tower block where his journey began – blends live vocals with DJing, garage, R&B and house, and has become a global brand in its own right. From Ibiza residencies to sold-out arenas, the show captures both the roots and evolution of Craig David’s career.
Across his career, Craig David has received 14 BRIT Award nominations, two GRAMMY nominations, four MOBO Awards, three Ivor Novello Awards and an MBE for services to music. He has scored 25 UK Top 40 singles, nine UK Top 40 albums and amassed over five billion streams worldwide.
