If there’s one thing that perfectly captures summertime, it’s festivals – and 2020 will be no exception with Back In The Future, a new two day festival weekend bringing summer vibes and carnival culture to Malta on August 29th and 30th.
Malta is being described as the new Ibiza and with 300 days of sun per year and an average temperature of 28 degrees at this time of year, it’s the perfect destination to enjoy one of the best festival line-ups of the year. It’s affordable prices and welcoming hospitality have seen it become a fast growing destination for tourist and festival fans alike.
Bringing together an unprecedented lineup of rave figureheads and soundsystem giants, Back In The Future will be the sun-kissed summer moment that we have all been waiting for, with the biggest and best in underground culture with old skool, garage, grime, d&b, jungle, reggae and much more – it’s the ideal cocktail for summer 2020.
Set to make their mark across the weekend for undeniable festival vibes are the likes of Chase & Status (Jungle DJ Set), DJ EZ (performing a special Old Skool Garage set w/ MCs), Wiley, Goldie, Congo Natty, Ms Dynamite, General Levy, Fabio & Grooverider, DJ Zinc, Artful Dodger, DJ Luck & MC Neat, DJ Hype, Shola Ama, Kele Le Roc, Pay As U Go Cartel, Leeroy Thornhill (Ex Prodigy), Top Buzz, Baby D, Randall, Wookie, Crazy Cousinz, Matt Jam Lamont, Slipmatt, Lisa Maffia, Kenny Ken, Micky Finn, Altern 8 and SL2 amongst many many others – with an unrivalled bill of the biggest names playing some of their only festival slots of 2020.
Unlike anything seen at a festival before, Back In The Future will also feature a special coming together of the best in carnival soundsystems – with takeovers and sets from the likes of Channel One, Aba Shanti, King Tubby, Mungo’s Hi Fi and Saxon to name but a few.
Back In The Future takes place across two of the Mediterranean’s most celebrated spaces Gianpula Village and Uno Malta. Both are fitted with state of the art soundsystems, main stages, indoor and outdoor nightclubs, sunkissed rooftops and lots of space to chill, have fun.
With very low rates of Covid-19 and incredibly detailed and diligent planning from the Maltese government, the country is now open again for tourism to many parts of Europe including the UK from July 15th. All hotels, bars, restaurant’s, clubs and beaches are open with stringent procedures in place around social distancing and testing.
