Andrew Combs Releases new single and announces UK Tour

Acclaimed Americana breakthrough – ANDREW COMBS – has released a new single to coincide with his September UK live dates.

Part Time Lovers (Full Time Fools)” is a new track unveiled by the Nashville-based star and officially released in the UK this week (4th September 2015) via the Loose label. Having marked his live return to the UK with a performance at this year’s End of The Road festival, Andrew will be heading out on a headline tour dates of his own this week with Portland troubadour Barna Howard (see dates below).

While the track does not appear on 2015 breakthrough album ‘All These Dreams’, “Part Time Lovers (Full Time Fools)” was in fact one of the first songs Andrew Combs recorded for the album.

Speaking to Rolling Stone Country (who premiered the track this week), Andrew said:

It didn’t fit the mould for me, so we put it aside. It’s about something I am sure everyone who has been in a relationship has thought about — two people who were in an old relationship that’s long past, and, at the time, they thought they were in love. But it fell apart, because they were too young and green to know what love felt like.

After a spate of shows in the US with alt-country sensation Kacey Musgraves, Andrew heads to the UK for a series of headline shows. Kicking off last night at Oxford’s Bullingdon Arms, Andrew, accompanied by full live band, will go on to play Brighton’s Prince Albert tonight (7th Sept) before slotting in 6 further shows that culminate with an appearance at this year’s SC4M Festival at Winchester The Railway (13th Sept).

At the forefront of a new wave of Americana, Andrew Combs’ latest album ‘All These Dreams’ was released to widespread acclaim at the beginning of the year. Sustaining the tempo, Rolling Stone Country honoured the record at #6 in its run down of  30 Great Country Albums of 2015 You Probably Didn’t Hear », hailing it as “layered, evocative”, whereas the highly respected The Bluegrass Situation recently enthused “On a list of great records of the year ( … so far), Andrew Combs’ All These Dreams is the best of them all”.

‘All These Dreams’ marked a huge step forward for the Nashville-based singer-songwriter. Using his gifts for lyricism and wry observation, Combs weaves tales of love, sin and redemption on the new album, in a style that brings together classic country and contemporary pop. Combs continues to carve out his own singular path as an artist, finally reaching the heights of his Texas songwriting heroes. Rough Trade Shops made All These Dreams one of their Albums Of The Month as well as selecting one of the tracks to be included on their Counter Culture 14 album.

Support comes from label-mate Barna Howard, who received similar praise for the wistful folk of his debut album ‘Quite A Feelin” (2015).
