This past November, Katumba opened their Culture Hub housed in what used to be a victorian school, John Archer Hall, in the heart of Toxteth. Since then, hosting a number of offers for the whole community, independent artists, small organisations, and everyone in between looking for an affordable, creative space ran by and for community artists! This May, Katumba is inviting the Liverpool community to join them for two days of festivities with performances, workshops, dance, stalls and more with something for all ages! FRIDAY 17TH a 70 Katumba Drummers Procession will lead the public through Windsor Street’s many arts and culture organisations part of the Light Night Windsor Street Party SATURDAY 18TH you’re invited to the KATUMBA CULTURE HUB for a full day of music, workshops, yoga, delicious eats and conscious shopping. Katumba will be also launching their first EP, as well as their fair trade online shop. Full programme of activities below. |
