San Jose based electronica act Venus Afterburn is proud to release the video for their single “Killing the High” – the act’s first single off their debut self-titled 12 track album.
Venus Afterburn’s music is steeped in both abstract and driving rhythms, accentuated with precise vocal chops and sparse but poignant lyricism by Bay Area M.C. Sean Blak. It has a definitive hip hop feel with major house or dnb drums influences, comparable to the likes of Moby and J. Dilla.
The outfit is composed of an unknown number of producers and DJs. Togther, they create music in underground bomb shelters and abandoned San Francisco Bath Houses. All creative decisions are decided over tacos.
