Already having set tongues wagging around the North West and beyond with their electric and intelligent brand of rock‘n’roll, JORDAN ALLEN now put the nation in their sights as they line up their first live dates of the new year.
Joining surging Sheffield outfit The Sherlocks for a spate of dates across the UK, Jordan Allen will be setting the paces with opening sets at venues including Manchester’s Albert Hall, Stoke’s Sugarmill and Norwich’s Waterfront Studios, plus many more throughout February and March. Full dates and details below.
In addition, the Manchester/Bolton four piece will be teaming up with indie taste-making tour-de-force THIS FEELING, for their first gig of the year as a featured act on their ‘Big In 2017‘ line up at Manchester’s Night & Day Cafe. Taking to the stage on the 21 January, the band will play alongside other bright new talents including The Blinders, White Room, Strange Bones and many more. More information: http://www.
Outlining their ambitions and what to expect in the new year, front man Jordan states:
” 2017 for us is an incredibly exciting prospect, we have new tracks to release that I know are the finest we’ve written yet, which are now all ready to go. I’m confident that 2017 will be our year… we want to show Manchester that we are the next big thing. We want to be up there with Courteeners and Blossoms by the end of 2017 and we’ll stop at nothing to achieve that… Livin’ La Vida Bolton.”
Making a big impression with their debut performances at the legendary Leeds and Reading festivals, not to mention heaps of air play with killer singles ‘Helter Skleter’, ‘Too Much Too Soon’ and ‘Dancing In The Dark’, the four piece notched up media attention from BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X, whilst online the likes of Clash Magazine hailed their music as “a gritty take on the indie template, matching carefree riffs to lyrics that speak of the eternal frustrations of love and attraction”.

Hitting a rich seam of song writing inspiration, the band have been bunkered up in Peter Gabriel’s stardom-steeped Real World Studios with production guru Steve Osborne (Happy Mondays, New Order, U2, Doves, KT Tunstall) where they have been writing and rehearsing together. From these prolific sessions the band have built a repertoire set to thrill on record and the gig circuit.
Jordan Allen (Vocals, Guitars), Danny Quin (Guitar), Kieran Loughran (Bass) and Nathan Howard (Drums) are here to restore your faith in razor sharp lyricism and rock’n’roll. Fierce and full of cocksure swagger, their latest release “Dancing in The Dark” has a tough energy that owes far more to The Hives or Arctic Monkeys – and carries off the kind of attitude many artists spend a career trying to attain.
