YEARS & YEARS announce the brand new video to single Meteorite, taken from the soundtrack to blockbuster ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby. The track is the first piece of new music to be released in over a year from the platinum selling, Wembley headlining, radio dominating 3-piece.
The track, an incandescent slice of brilliant pop, is embodied in the video by lead singer Olly Alexander’s self-imagined outfit, made from 86,000 Swarovski crystals. The bands’ stylist Coline Bach commissioned fashion designer Lara Jensen to design Olly’s bespoke look in collaboration with Swarovski. The design process of the breath-taking piece was a collective effort between Olly, Coline and Lara.
Olly’s custom outfit forms the glimmering and iridescent centrepiece to the video. The video features a flawless dance routine featuring Olly, bandmates Emre and Mikey and an every growing number of dancers moving in unbroken unison creating a spellbinding visual.
‘Meteorite’, which the band debuted live at Bestival earlier in September, marks the end of an incredible 2 years for the London-based trio. Years & Years will start work on their next album later this year.
