After a long hiatus following his two massively acclaimed albums on XL Recordings, ‘Ash Wednesday’ [2007] and ‘Elvis Perkins in Pearland’ [2009], Elvis Perkins returned this year with third album ‘I Aubade’ [July, 2016 on MIR]. The current album was as applauded as its predecessors, described as “magnificently worn folk-country” – Mojo, “intriguing, heartfelt and deeply odd” – Drowned in Soundand “dreamy, sparse and intimate” – The Obsever.
