Described by Gigslutz as “High class, upbeat, up tempo indie rock” and CLASH Magazine as “Hella Catchy” with a “biting indie sound that has plenty of soul.” Ravellas are a 4 piece from Wigan, Greater Manchester, consisting of Mac (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Jonny (Bass, Lead and Backing Vocals), Parker (Lead Guitar) and Aidan (Drums).

Late in 2016 the band released their single ‘PUPPETTES’ which went onto be featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Playlist and has since racked up over 250k streams on the site. After the success of the single, Ravellas followed this up with the Double A-side ‘BLUSH // CAUSE YOU COULD’ which was championed by both BBC Introducing Manchester and BBC Introducing Merseyside. The former of which described the band as “something special” and the latter then invited the band to come on the show for an interview and acoustic session.

This year saw the band support triple Grammy nominated US rockers Highly Suspect on their UK Tour which culminated at a sold out Koko in London. Later in the year they went on to join Tom Clarke on his UK Tour of The Enemy’s classic debut album and have spent the summer playing a number of festivals up and down the country.

The band has spent a large chunk of 2017 in and out of the studio working on a collection of massive songs to release with the ambition of taking them to the next level. The first of which is ‘COLOUR ME SWEET’. With verses that are packed with catchy melodies and tongue in cheek (some intelligent, some not so intelligent) metaphors of hedonism filled nights out, an in your face chorus with punchy vocals and a massive lead riff and a huge ending. With more songs to come before the years end, ‘COLOUR ME SWEET’ undoubtedly sets the bar high for Ravellas future.
