Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel sets new precedent at the 2015 Opening Party

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel has started its fifth season with an emphatic opening party that took a back-to-back format featuring leading figures from today’s underground electronic dance music scene. In a fusion of emerging talent with established names in the industry, the ‘Double Trouble, Let’s Play Together’ theme set a new precedent in how to create the perfect line-up at the party on Saturday 30th May.

Opening Ushuaїa’s iconic stage for summer 2015 and performing there for the first time, The Martinez Brothers energised and primed the crowds ahead of Maya Jane Coles and Kim Ann Foxman, who shared the decks with an outstanding B2B session that mixed their own distinctive rhythms and styles. Uner and Los Suruba, Kölsch and Deetron, plus Claude Vonstroke andMiss Kittin, also used the same formula in their underground house music shared sessions. Challenging the audience with a more techno and forceful sound, Andrea Oliva and Davide Squillace, Nic Fanciulli and Agoria, and Raul Rodriguez with Prymate combined high doses of minimal house and high-voltage tech-house in each of their pairings.  Polish duo Catz ‘N Dogzrounded off the night, where thousands of electronic music fans danced to the rhythm of the best underground beats, sounding better than ever before with a new and revamped sound system. The spectacular choreography of fireworks, performances and precise visual production confirmed Ushuaїa’s highly anticipated party as the opening event of the season.

In its five years as Ushuaїa Ibiza Beach Hotel, the must-visit spot has established itself as a reference for global luxury travel, combining unique services with music events featuring the world’s best DJs. Under the guidance of artistic director, Yann Pissenem, Ushuaїa continues to create a revolution within Ibiza’s club and entertainment scene, and no more so than during its fifth anniversary.
