Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel announces Martin Garrix residency
Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel has added a brand new weekly residency to its events calendar for July and August, announcing electronic music prodigy, Martin Garrix will fill the Friday slot from 3rd July 2015.
Having first performed on the Ushuaїa open-air stage last summer, where Garrix opened for David Guetta in front of thousands of party-goers, the 19 year old DJ now returns for his own night, ‘Multiply’. He will be joined by Oliver Heldens each week, as well as a line-up of other rising talent to be announced soon.
The new residency is the latest feat by the talented young Dutch DJ who has had a phenomenal two years since releasing chart-topping hit ‘Animals’, which garnered over half a billion views on YouTube. Garrix has been named in Billboard’s prestigious ’21 under 21’ as well as Forbes’ ’30 under 30’ list, has had recent collaborations with the likes of Usher and Tiësto, and has become a resident at Omnia Las Vegas.
Supporting Garrix each week, Dutch music producer Oliver Heldens made his dance music entrance with his hit single ‘Gecko’ which reached number one in the UK charts in June 2014. Since then, he has had continued success with his follow-up ‘Last All Night (Koala)’ that listed at number five in the UK charts, collaborations with Sander van Doorn and Zeds Dead, and remixes for the likes of Coldplay, Calvin Harris, and Tiesto.
Ushuaïa opened in May 2011 by its founder, Yann Pissenem, starting out as a small beach bar and restaurant and growing into one of Ibiza’s hottest locations for dance music. The hotel features 415 luxurious rooms and suites and is centred around the outdoor open-air stage, which this season is home to some of the world’s most legendary DJs including David Guetta, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, and Axwell^Ingrosso.
