Returning to Liverpool for their first show since a triumphant performance at the Anglican Cathedral in 2013, acclaimed by many as the year’s best, US alt. rock legends Low visit the Epstein Theatre in July 2016.

One of the most revered groups to have emerged from North America over the past three decades, the trio consisting of husband and wife team Alan Sparhawk (guitar/vocals) and Mimi Parker (drums/vocals) along with bassist Steve Garrington issued their eleventh album Ones and Sixes to universal praise last September.

Recorded at the home studio of Bon Iver mainman Justin Vernon, the disc saw the group bring an experimental edge to their slowburning melodies and sublime vocal harmonies with electronic textures and programmed beats.

Issued through iconic indie label Sub Pop, the LP reached the band’s biggest international audience to date and secured their UK Top 40 album chart debut. Scoring plaudits from UK and US critics alike, Mojo described the set as ‘one of the most impressive albums of their career and it still feels like their best work is ahead of them rather than stuck back in the past’.

Ideally suited to the majestic surroundings of the Epstein, tickets are guaranteed to move swiftly for a concert surely destined to be a standout of this year’s gig calendar.
