Stars Line-Up To Perform For Under the Bridge's 5th Anniversary
Under the Bridge

West London venue Under the Bridge, located beneath Stamford Bridge football stadium, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a series of high profile gigs featuring some of the biggest names in music.

Since opening in 2011, the venue has hosted shows from an array of international stars including The Maccabees, Take That, Bruno Mars, Kasabian, Alicia Keys, Stereophonics, Justin Bieber, Rufus Wainwright and Jessie J and can now add prodigiously talented multi-instrumentalist Lianne La Havas to the list as she brings her inimitable blend of soul, jazz and pop to West London for a special intimate performance on Wednesday March 23rd. Having performed a headline show last night at The Royal Albert Hall, this concert provides a rare opportunity to catch one of the UK’s most talked-about artists up-close-and-personal at one of London’s best small venues.

Details of the remaining four gigs will be announced in due course. Tickets will be available from DICE, with all proceeds going to the Musicians without Borders charity, which uses the power of music to bridge divides, connect communities, and heal the wounds of war.

Alan Tenenbaum, Creative Manager, Under the Bridge:

“We’ve enjoyed some incredible live performances at Under the Bridge over the last five years and I hope with these fifth anniversary concerts, and with the work we do at the venue in the future, that we can continue to make a positive, worthwhile contribution to the live music scene in the UK.”

Laura Hassler, Founder & Director – Musicians without Borders:

“Over the past sixteen years, Musicians without Borders has organized successful music projects in current and post conflict regions in the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Africa and the EU. We work closely with local musicians and organizations to build sustainable projects in response to local needs. We are delighted to be teaming up with Under the Bridge for this hugely exciting series of shows, which will provide much-needed financial support to the work we are doing around the world.”

During its short existence, Under the Bridge has established itself as one of the leading live music venues on the London circuit having presented shows from some of the biggest acts in the world, won numerous industry awards, partnered with the likes of Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, Heart and XFM, hosted events for NME the MOBOs, the Classical BRITs and Q magazine and, perhaps most importantly, has garnered the respect of the industry and built a reputation amongst bands and artists as one of the capital’s must-play venues.

Tickets for Lianne La Havas are £10 and go on sale on Friday March 18th. They are available from www.DICE.fm and all proceeds will go to Musicians without Borders.
