Quirky rockers Tokyo Taboo release new video ‘Bubbilicious’
Tokyo Taboo

Quirky rockers Tokyo Taboo blasted to earth in January 2013 and quickly gained recognition within the UK music scene for their unforgettable live shows, alternative attitude, and are now rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with…

The band’s audacious first single ‘Bubbilicious’ from their upcoming EP ‘Leech’ is a fresh take on rock and roll with soaring melodies, heavy White Stripes guitar riffs and licks, distorted Karen O vocals, and Lena Lovich speaky squeaks peppered with Gwen Stefani white girl rap. A great introduction to the band’s new ‘niche’ sound.

Their recent collaboration with Noah Shain (LA producer currently behind an iconic wave of new indie rock bands currently taking the world by storm) has been a huge game changer for the band.

Noah is the silent force behind Dead Sara, the LA band who’s debut album turned so many heads it bagged them a world tour with the mighty Muse! Noah created such a fresh sonic identity for Dead Sara that music industry eyes and ears are also pricked up waiting to see what this next chapter will bring for Tokyo Taboo.

Having already worked in the past with renowned producers Adam Moseley (The Cure), and Jim Lowe (Stereophonics,) the band are no strangers to honing their sound, and creating a unique combination of synth pop, indie rock, and anthemic hooks.

Tokyo Taboo’s previous controversial EP ‘Porno Star’ has seen many successes including a sell out UK tour, support slots with JJ Rosa, and packed out shows in Los Angeles at renowned venues Whisky A Go Go, and the Viper Room.
The launch night for ‘Bubbilicious’ will be on the 1st August followed by the single release on the 3rd August.

‘Leech’ is due for release in November 2015.
