Liverpool Indie Quartet Motherhood Release Anthemic EP Cut 'Hey You'

Liverpool indie outfit Motherhood kick off 2018 with Hey You, the latest anthemic cut taken from their forthcoming debut EP out later this year. Following on from previous single Save MeHey You features an array of choppy samples, processed drums and gnarly guitar tones that work to perfection.

Lyrically more introspective than previous releases, the track finds lead singer Evan Torrente contemplating a drunken late night phone call to an ex, going on to examine his own shortcomings that got him into the situation in the first place.

Pairing their emotive lyrics with a bouncy chorus and catchy guitar lines has already helped the quartet gain widespread backing from the online community (DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, The 405, Clash) and having already rubbed shoulders with Merseyside acts Her’s and Paris Youth Foundation on the live circuit, they’ll be heading out on UK dates of their own very soon.

Produced by Sam Winfield (The Amazons, Fickle Friends), Motherhood’s Hey You is released on 25th January and will be available on all digital platforms.
