Lina announced as special guest for two pride events this weekend

Every so often an artist comes along and changes the way you think about the world. In 2013 American-Palestinian Lina soared to victory on the second season of The Voice of Israel, prompting a response from the international press. Having lived in Israel from a young age, the Arab Christian admits that she had never considered how her winning a talent competition could be so monumental in opening the eyes of millions around the world to the humbling fact that people are just people. Voted for by her fellow country men and women, her victory showed the world that politicians do not always represent the views of the people.

The aftermath of her win has been a real whirlwind. From performing alongside Queen and Adam Lambert in front of 60,000 people through to Alicia Keys tweeting her support for Lina’s moving rendition of ‘The Holy War’, Lina has been rapidly picking up a firm, loyal and often famous fanbase.

2016 saw Lina take huge steps on the international stage. Having signed a management deal with Irit TenHengel, she released her debut single ‘This Ain’t About You’ to critical acclaim – peaking in the Top 10 of both Music-Week’s Club and Pop Charts. It was followed by the equally impressive Dance Sucker, which secured a #4 position on Music Week’s Club Chart.

As 2017 gets into gear, Lina has co-written with a veritable who’s who of pop writers to put the finishing touches to her debut album. Produced by Grammy Award winner Jerry Wonda upcoming talent Tal Forer, the album is aptly titled ‘Walking On A Tightrope’. Boasting collaborations with Grammy Award winner Eliot Kennedy (Spice Girls / Take That), Karen Poole (David Guetta / Kylie /
Janet Jackson), Hiten Bharadia (Craig David / Lemar / Omi) and Knighstarr (Anne-Marie / Janelle Monae).

Heading up charge is the irrepressible ‘Can’t Keep Falling’, which was co-penned with Brit Award nominee Maegan Cottone (Demi Lovato / Little Mix / Iggy Azalea / Britney Spears). An explosive pop anthem, ‘Can’t Keep Falling’ is the perfect marriage of the musical worlds she flawlessly marries.

With American, European and Arabic influences, ‘Can’t Keep Falling’ dissects a relationship with an addictive hook that sees Lina aligned with the most playful of pop divas today – Anne-Marie, Dua Lipa and Zara Larsson.
