Indie poet: Jordan Allen returns with Liverpool show next week
Venerated indie laureate and Manchester’s most likely JORDAN ALLEN are set to unveil their greatly anticipated follow-up ‘TOO MUCH TOO SOON’ on Friday May 27. The new track comes complete with a dazzling new video and CD pack-shot. The release will coincide with a tub-thumping homecoming
This latest anthemicinstalment is part of a bundle of wall-to-wall bangers recorded in Peter Gabriel’s highly-conducive Real World Studios. Inconspicuously
An unrequited love song at its core and an exercise in developing a cool and coy demeanour, 21 year old Jordan Allen utilises deft lyrical prowess and wisdom beyond his years to capture the essence of an age old dilemma.
“Too Much Too Soon is about reflecting on the naivety of how easy it is to fall head over heels when you’re young. Being completely unaware of how young I was and how none of it really mattered I did some ridiculous stuff, sent flowers, wrote poems, wrote songs and none of it worked – (Too Much To Soon) if I had my life experience that I have now and played it cool, things might have been different.
Conversely the band are sure to win some hearts at this year’s Dot to Dot Festival in Manchester. With the performance immediately following the new single release, the four-piece will be pumped up and out to impress at the annual unearthing of the hottest new talent around.
‘TOO MUCH TOO SOON’ WILL BE RELEASED ON 27th MAY 2016
Jordan Allen will play:
29th MAY 2016 – Dot to Dot Festival 2016 @ The Castle Hotel
8 JUNE – The Buyers Club, Liverpool
11 JUNE – The Ferret, Preston
