Grinagog Festival 2017 adds stellar names to their line up
Grinagog Festival have just added some stellar names to their already brilliant, cross-genre line up for the festival’s first year in Torquay, Devon on 7-9th April.

Flava D’s star is rising fast with her cutting edge style at the meeting point of House, UK Garage and Grime, collaborations and remixes with such veteren legends as Craig David, Diplo, Wiley and DJ EZ. She has wowed crowds with her DJ sets across the globe from Europe to Asia and Australia. In 2017, Flava D is taking over!

As bassist for one of the UKs biggest band, Árni Hjorvar of The Vaccines has seen a big festival show or 1000 in his time. Grinagog will be treated to a festival exclusive for his new solo project which has been getting great write ups already in the UK press. Is it Woozy Sci-Fi Popicana? Depresso Tropicana? It’s sound that grew out of endless days The Vaccines’ bassist spent in his junkyard of a studio, a place full of off-brand organs, ‘80s synths and a laissez-faire approach to creation. Think Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits in a Hawaiian shirt and you can’t go wrong.

Also added to the bill are Son of Dave who has racked up 1400 shows over 5 continents and released 7 wonderful albums. A maverick Bluesman and a one-man harmonica and beat-box experience who beats his own path, turning rhythm and blues upside down whilst gathering a huge international army of devoted fans from all walks of life.

For it’s very first year, Grinagog will feature a myriad of musical genres represented across 15 stages, ranging from the stunning historical 12th century Torre Abbey to bustling harbourside nightclubs and rock venues with over 200 live bands, solo artists and DJs . With a “No Mud Guarantee”, palm trees a plenty and adventures big and small; get ready to escape the humdrum with Grinagog in Torquay against the backdrop of the stunning English Rivieria.
