Whitby Ontario is bleak, suburban sprawl, it’s made skids out of bored kids here. Manning Hill is the biggest hill in Chastity’s town, one they’ve always skated and tried to conquer.
Chastity have released the video for the song Manning Hill which they made together on practically nothing.
They met the director Justin Singer at bible camp a few years ago, found him on the internet in the fall to tell him about this Smashing Pumpkins inspired video that we couldn’t get out of our head. Luckily he wasn’t brain washed like some of their old pals and was up to put pennies on train tracks, shave someones head, tattoo SORRY on their drummer Sam, run around Whitby with all of them.
The video exceeded their hopes.
This summer they’ll be releasing the video with a series of shows in record shops, on rooftops, skate parks and a bush party they’re having here in Whitby.
