I first witnessed Steve Thompson and the Incidents at this years’ Threshold Festival and I was highly impressed by their attitude and music so reviewing their album “Rainbows & Arrows” was something I had long intended to do.
Listening to the album, two things struck me. The first was that this a well thought out album. Lyrically striking and musically tight with an obvious amount of passion put in. The second thing I had noticed was that their use of nostalgic musical genres together with the modern day lyrics works a treat. You automatically get a feel for the nineties brit-pop era alongside a harking back to a 60s hippy, trippy vibe. Both which work wonderfully.
