Isle of Wight Festival add The Pretenders, The Kooks, Melanie C and more to line-up

Today, The Isle of Wight Festival 2017 announces 18 new acts to be added to the bill: The Pretenders, The Kooks, Imelda May, Razorlight, Alison Moyet, Starsailor, Space, Melanie C, Scouting For Girls, Tom Chaplin, Alex Francis, Lucy Spraggan, Bang Bang Romeo, Paradisia, Wild Front, The Slow Readers Club, Showhawk Duo and Victoria.

They join headliners Arcade Fire, David Guetta, Run DMC and Rod Stewart as well as recently announced acts Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Bastille, Kaiser Chiefs, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Zara Larsson, Clean Bandit, The Vamps and The Amazons.

The Isle of Wight Festival announces another eleven exciting acts for the 2017 festival.

Representing the Best of British are the Kaiser Chiefs, Texas, The Shires, Example + DJ Wire, Jonas Blue, Nothing But Thieves, The Sherlocks, Ward Thomas, The Undertones, The Alarm and Elle Exxe. They join David Guetta, Run DMC, Arcade Fire and Rod Stewart who top the bill over the weekend as well as George Ezra, Bastille, Jack Savoretti and Rag’n’Bone Man performing across the weekend.

Isle of Wight Festival announce dates for 2017

Following recent wins at the Live UK Music Business Awards for Best Festival (over 40,000) and Best Family Festival at the Family Traveller Awards, the Isle of Wight Festival have today announced that next year’s event will take place between 8-11th June 2017.

2016 marked the 15th anniversary of the Isle of Wight Festival since it was successfully relaunched in 2002. It has become one of the most exciting annual global music events of the summer with a proud heritage of show-stopping headliners, including, Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Killers, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Queen + Adam Lambert, The Who, Blur and Fleetwood Mac.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 7th November at 9am.

Today, The Isle Of Wight Festival announce the return of ‘Live and Unsigned’, a competition that will see some of the most exciting unsigned acts in the UK battle it out to perform on the festival’s legendary main stage alongside Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless.

To be in with a chance of joining this year’s line up, artists can apply online by submitting an original song of their choice through the festival’s website. A team of music industry
experts will whittle down the entries with the finalists performing at the Half Moon in
London on March 29th. A live judging panel led by festival organiser, John Giddings, will decide the winner who will also receive the chance to record at the Skinny Mammoth studio on the Isle of Wight.
