SubSound presents the “Bombstrikes Block Party” in Liverpool
SubSound

SubSound is back joining forces with Bombstrikes Records to host the “Bombstrikes Block Party” in 24 Kitchen Street on 20 February 2016. True originals bringing the best in

Bass, Funk and Party starting beats, Bombstrikes, founded in 2004, is a scene defining, dancefloor smashing record label run by Mooqee and Beatvandals.

We are hyped to be bringing the global legends Utah Saints back to Liverpool but best of all they are doing a very special oneoff Bass, Beats and D&B just for us and our party faithful! Utah Saints legendary status goes without saying and their list of achievements is enormous. They’ve been making music, DJing and playing sold out shows across the globe since the birth of House music, have released 9 Top 40 UK hits, they have sold over 2 million records worldwide, sampled a huge range of artists from Kate Bush to Slayer, supported U2 on their UK and European tour’s, set up and promoted award winning and legendary clubnights ‘The Gallery’ and ‘SugarBeatClub’ and have regularly recorded and presented shows for BBC Radio1, XFM, Galaxy, Kiss and Ministry of Sound. When they aren’t playing clubs and festivals across the world, they can be found in the studio working hard on new material and also remixing other artists from Bring Me The Horizon to DJ Fresh.

Joining the party is Featurcast. This man is on a mission to funk his way across the globe brinings HipHop, Funk, D&B and downright dirty Bass together in his own remarkable way. A favourite with the festivals Featurcast has been lighting up the main stage of the world’s biggest; from Australia’s Breakfest, Canada’s Shambhala to our home grown Glastonbury and Bestival to name just a few. Hard work and passion shaped this artist and has earned him kudos in the studio with early releases on Jalapeno Records, Insane Bangers, Bombstrikes, Good Groove and Ghetto Funk, before releasing his 2012 album ‘Run For Cover’. With a new album dropping this spring, 2016 is sure to be a busy one.

We are psyched to have the party starter that is Mooqee down in Liverpool at last! Not only a totally awesome DJ and producer, he’s also one of the fathers of both Bombstrikes and Sugarbeat brands. Whether he’s rocking crowds in Fabric or at huge outdoor events such as Germany’s Fusion or Canada’s Shambhala, he’s always unmissable. It’s impossible not to shake what your mamma gave ya whilst Mooqee is taking charge of the decks!! His productions have picked up huge radio support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, Capital, Kiss, XFM and Sirius XM in the US. The total gods that are the Beastie Boys chose a Mooqee track to open their shows during their massive global stadium tour…just unreal!!

Backing up these legends is Merseyside’s very own DJ Rasp. One of the Europe’s premier and most respected hiphop DJ’s, and a true ”champion” turntablist Rasp started djing back in 1996, influenced by hiphop dj’s and turntablist crews such as Cash Money, ISP & the XMen. After his initial years of dj’ing at house parties, producing mixtapes and nonstop practising, in 1998 Rasp decided to start competing in the highly technical and competitive DJ battle circuit. DJ Rasp has become a veteran at DJ competitions, reaching the UK finals many times and becoming double UK champion in 2009, taking both the DMC UK and IDA UK crown’s and in 2010 successfully retained his IDA UK champion title and became DMC UK vice champion.

Serving up some of the sickest DJ’s in the world, Subsound can’t wait for legends Utah Saints, Featurecast and Mooqee plus local hero Dj Rasp to blow up real big at the Bombstrikes Block Party in our new 24 Kitchen Street home!
